Details

A pavé CZ halo tassel pendant in rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver, named after الثريا (Al-Thurayya) — the Pleiades. At its centre is a 17mm disc halo hand-set with cubic zirconia in a full pavé. From the base of the halo, seven individual diamond-cut cable chains descend — each terminating in a tiny bezel-set CZ droplet that adds weight to keep the tassels hanging straight and creates a shimmering movement at the tips. Total charm drop is 8.5cm from halo top to tassel end. The signature extender charm — a small bezel-set CZ — hangs at the back of the neck on the 5cm extender when the 40cm chain is worn at its shorter length; a detail visible only when hair is worn up. Total weight 8.8g. Rhodium finish, tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic throughout. At AED 798 this is the most architecturally complex pendant in the Luna Dura collection.
Instructions
  • Wipe the tassels and halo gently with a soft dry cloth after wear to maintain the rhodium finish and CZ clarity.
  • Apply perfume and oud before wearing. Remove before showering, swimming, or sleeping — the seven tassel chains can tangle during sleep or physical activity.

Occasions

A Surayya tassel necklace at AED 798 suited to milestone gifting — Eid Al-Adha, engagements, graduations, and significant anniversaries. الثريا (Al-Thurayya) is one of the most resonant names in Gulf culture: a Qur'anic and Hadith reference, a classical poetry metaphor for aspiration and feminine beauty, and the star marker that ended the pearl diving season on the Trucial Coast. A gift named for the Pleiades communicates cultural depth without requiring explanation to any Gulf recipient. The tassel movement makes it the most expressive piece in the Luna Dura collection — suited to both abaya and evening dress where the tassels catch light with movement.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get the Surayya tassel necklace delivered the same day in Dubai?

Same-day delivery in Dubai is available on this necklace. WhatsApp +971 52 220 0582 to confirm stock and arrange delivery — our studio is on Sheikh Zayed Road, opposite the Museum of the Future. Standard UAE delivery takes 1–2 business days. Orders over AED 200 qualify for free delivery across the UAE.
How do I care for the Surayya tassel pendant to keep the seven chains from tangling?

Store the Surayya flat in its Luna Dura box with the tassel chains laid straight — never coil the pendant or place it loose in a bag where the seven chains will tangle with each other or with other jewellery. Remove before sleeping; the chain weight combined with movement during sleep is the primary cause of tassel tangling on multi-chain pendants. Wipe the tassels and halo with a soft dry cloth after wear to maintain the rhodium finish. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and silver dips which strip rhodium plating.
How do I wear the Surayya tassel necklace with Gulf occasion dress?

The 40cm chain positions the halo at the collarbone, with the 8.5cm tassel drop reaching the upper chest — ideal over open-collar shirts and V-neck tops. For high-neck abayas, use the 5cm extender to lengthen the chain so the tassels hang clear of the neckline and move freely. The signature bezel charm at the extender tip hangs at the back of the neck — a detail that reads when hair is worn up. As a layering anchor, place the Surayya at 40cm and add a shorter 35cm plain silver chain above — the tassel movement belongs at the longest layer where it has room to cascade without being obscured by other pieces.
