Details

A Hamsa hand — the Kaf Fatima — carved in 925 sterling silver and filled with hand-applied azure blue enamel, held in an openwork round frame with a genuine tanzanite bezel-set at the protective eye. Azure sits at the clear, vivid end of the blue spectrum — sky rather than navy — and the closed bezel deepens the tanzanite toward a sapphire-blue with violet flashes. A note on colour, from our gemologist: tanzanite is strongly pleochroic and vitreous, so its violet-blue shifts with the angle and temperature of light. Under the cool studio lighting used for our photographs the stone reads brighter and more vivid; in everyday light it sits about two shades deeper and more subdued. This is the nature of a lively natural stone, not a variation in quality. At 22 mm and 10.1 g on a 40 cm chain, it reads substantial without weighing on the neck. Each natural tanzanite is inspected by our in-house gemologist, Elie Ammoun, Graduate Gemologist (IGI), with independent certification available on request.

Instructions
  • Wipe the silver with a soft, dry cloth; clean the enamel with a damp cloth only — never soak, steam, or use ultrasonic cleaners.
  • Put on after perfume, sunscreen, and lotion, and remove before showering, swimming, or sleeping.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get this delivered today in Dubai?

Yes. Order and we'll deliver the same day across Dubai — message us on WhatsApp +971 52 220 0582 to confirm your window, or visit our studio on Sheikh Zayed Road opposite the Museum of the Future. Other emirates arrive in 1–2 business days.

Is the tanzanite genuine, and why does its colour look different in photos?

Yes — it's a genuine natural tanzanite, December's birthstone, found only in Tanzania, and each stone is gemologist-inspected with certification available on request. Tanzanite is naturally pleochroic, so its violet-blue shifts with the light: under cool studio lighting it photographs brighter and more vivid, while in everyday light it reads about two shades deeper — the sign of a lively natural stone. It rates 6–7 on the Mohs scale, so clean only with a soft damp cloth, never ultrasonic or steam.

What does the azure Hamsa mean?

The Hamsa — Kaf Fatima, the Hand of Fatima — is a centuries-old Gulf symbol of protection, and the blue at its eye traditionally reflects Al-Ayn, the evil eye, away from the wearer. Azure carries that meaning in a clear, vivid register — the blue of open sky — paired here with a violet-blue tanzanite for a tone-on-tone contrast of opaque enamel and luminous natural stone.
